As Molecular Biology Analyst, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of test methods on various biopharmaceutical products. You work in close collaboration with your team of Molecular Analysts, and also other departments, such as Study Management and QA. The work is performed in accordance with strict quality standards and protocols, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
About Your Next Colleagues
Eurofins MicroSafe Laboratories in Leiden is a GMP certified contract laboratory for the (bio)pharmaceutical industry. Eurofins MicroSafe has approximately 70 employees and is part of the internationally operating Eurofins Scientific. We have a professional team consisting of a mix of young and experienced people with different backgrounds and experiences.
Eurofins MicroSafe Laboratories offers unique tests that allow us to investigate the safety, effectiveness and quality of a biological medicine, including cell and gene therapies, vaccines and monoclonal antibodies. For example, we can demonstrate whether a medicine is free of microbial, viral or production process-related contamination. In addition to carrying out standard tests, we also set up product-specific tests in close collaboration with the client.
About Your Tasks and Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities include:
- Perform a variety of test methods, such as ELISA, PCR, FACS, SDS-PAGE and Western Blotting.
- Collect, document, and analyze test data, and prepare corresponding test reports.
- Follow-up on quality incidents;
- Maintain the laboratory and handle related operational tasks.
- Actively participate in internal meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to method transfer and method validation activities, in collaboration with a Study Manager.
- Support the implementation of new equipment and test methods.
About Your Skills and Experience
· MBO or HBO degree towards Molecular Biology, Life Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Virology, or a related field.
· Experience with techniques such as ELISA, PCR, FACS, SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting, pH, Osmolality, etc.
· Knowledge of GMP or GLP is desirable.
· Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
· Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
· A proactive attitude towards learning and professional development.
· Flexibility and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
· Excellent command English.
· Reasonable command of the Dutch language.
· Located in the Netherlands with a valid work permit.
