About Your Tasks and Responsibilities
- Search, identify, approach, and build long-terms trust-based relationships with customers in target markets
- Promote DPH’s through direct outreach, networking, and participation in industry events enhancing brand visibility.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities to inform market opportunities and planning.
- Lead commercial prospection and generate qualified business opportunities.
- Analyze incoming requests (RFPs, technical packages) for feasibility and business potential.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Development, Project Management and other departments to prepare solid and timely offers and ensure project execution meets the customers' expectations and contractual commitments.
- Maintain centralized records of proposals, negotiations and business pipeline for reporting and forecasting.
- Ensure offers are technically sound, financially viable and aligned with business targets together with the internal specialist
- Represent DPH in commercial negotiations, ensuring governance, timelines, and KPI performance are clearly defined.
- Align internal stakeholders on negotiation strategies and positions for consistent external communication.
- Tailor negotiation approaches based on customer profiles (biotech, pharma, CDMO).
- Obtain finance endorsement on proposals for financial viability and risk control.
- Support issue resolution and commercial adjustments in case of project scope changes.
- Foster long-term partnerships by ensuring customer satisfaction and anticipating future collaboration opportunities.
- Facilitate internal alignment of technical, operational and commercial teams with client needs.
- Provide timely business development updates to SLT, including sales pipeline, forecasts and market insights.
- Engage in internal strategic meetings to align development priorities with company capacity and growth goals.
About Your Skills and Experience
- MSc/PhD in Science (Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology) or equivalent.
- 5+ years of scientific experience in a pharmaceutical development setting.
- Proven business development experience, ideally in a (CDMO) in development, sterile manufacturing with a well-established network
- Strong understanding of the drug discovery and development pathway and in-depth knowledge of sterile drug products
- Willingness to travel frequently to fairs, conferences, customers, headquarters in Paris etc.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for this role.
