About Your Next Job

As Business Development Manager (BDM) Obesity, you are responsible for driving growth and market share within bariatric and metabolic surgery in the Netherlands.

You translate the strategic direction set by the Therapeutic Area Lead into concrete actions and results in the field. By identifying opportunities and effectively leveraging available tools, programs and propositions, you deliver sustainable growth.

In this role, you work closely with hospitals, clinics, and other stakeholders, building strong partnerships. You collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment and drive execution. With your commercial mindset and entrepreneurial approach, you make a real impact within a growing and competitive market.


About Your Tasks and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the obesity strategy in the Netherlands and translate it into clear growth priorities and actionable initiatives
  • Drive growth in procedures, revenue, and market share
  • Identify and actively pursue commercial opportunities across accounts and regions
  • Leverage available tools, programs, and propositions to accelerate performance
  • Lead and support the introduction of new products and initiatives
  • Build and strengthen relationships with hospitals, clinics, and key stakeholders
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g. sales, marketing, medical, market access) to drive execution and impact
  • Analyze market trends, competition, and business performance
  • Monitor KPIs and adjust actions to optimize results

About Your Skills and Experience

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant commercial experience in MedTech
  • Proven track record in driving business growth and gaining market share
  • Experience in a customer-facing role within a complex healthcare environment
  • Experience working in a matrix organization
