JOB SUMMARY
Own the End-to-End (E2E) Planning and Transformation function for the Synthetics portfolio. Main responsibilities include shaping and implementing the overall E2E planning strategy, driving continuous improvement, efficiencies and projects across the Synthetics Value Stream, leading the Production Planning & Logistics function while delivering operational targets. Optimize and synchronize critical decisions in collaboration with cross-functional partners to address supply chain imbalances, achieve outstanding customer service, and optimize inventory. As a successful change agent and continuous improvement role model, the E2E Planning & Transformation Manager plays a crucial role in the Synthetics Value Stream and collaborates with various business partners.
About Your Tasks and Responsibilities
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position is responsible for the following activities:
20% Value Stream Contribution
- Act as Value Stream Planning Lead for Synthetics and support execution of Value Stream Strategy, cross-functional projects and portfolio growth.
20% Planning Transformation
- Own E2E planning process optimization and digital automation strategy.
- Develop risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
- Improve service experience for stakeholders through collaboration with E2E Supply Chain and Global Planning teams.
- Drive process simplification and continuous improvement to reduce waste and promote efficiency.
- Responsible for SAP S4 HANA and planning systems super user
20% Synthetics Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Process & NPI planning
- Lead Supply Review Meetings. Ensure supply feedback loop and escalations to next IBP meeting.
- Actively participate in demand-to-supply handover.
- Support relevant IBP meetings and prepare Synthetics topics for discussions.
- Ensure execution of IBP aligned decisions.
- Serve as a core team member for NPI projects and support relevant stage gates.
- Lead volume planning and inventory alignment for financial cycles and supply insights for risk assessment.
· Support SCM, LRPP, LRFP updates and strategic process improvements through deep Supply Chain configuration insights
10% Inventory Optimization
- Optimize inventory across FG, WIP, and RM to support free cash flow while balancing P&L and service targets.
- Orchestrate inventory improvement initiatives, lead monthly inventory review cycles, and inventory entitlement updates.
20% Production Planning and Service Projections
- Develop and manage a comprehensive and monthly production plan for Nijmegen site (Ethizia), optimizing service levels and efficiency in line with requirements from the Supply Network Planning team
- Fully responsible for FG, WIP, and RM detailed scheduling.
- In charge of planning and monitoring transfer projections and their execution.
- Lead weekly operational and STEM meetings and align on adjustments that mitigate risks and ensure accountability for plan attainment.
- Develop and assess supply scenarios related to demand, highlight impacts on key business outcomes and prepare proposals based on detailed analytics and insights.
- Analyze customer service recovery scenarios and improve backorder (BO) and service metrics with clear communication to stakeholders. Enable informed risk management and navigate complexities to align with strategic goals.
- Assess plan attainment and service on a weekly and monthly basis, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions (code level plan attainment, transfer plan attainment, NRP-A, cMPS-A, OTIF D).
10% People Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead direct and indirect reports within a matrix environment, ensuring operational compliance and achievement of team goals.
- Cultivate a motivated, customer-focused team environment with dedication and high sense of accountability.
- Conduct regular training sessions to improve team skills and efficiency.
- Champion talent development, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Act as Leadership Team member of Nijmegen site.
About Your Skills and Experience
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in management roles.
- 8+ years of experience in E2E Supply Chain and/or Operations.
- Production planning and/or Operations Management experience at a manufacturing site.
- Experience in the Healthcare and/or Medical Devices industry is highly desirable.
- APICS certification is a plus.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS
- Strong manufacturing environment experience and exceptional customer focus.
- Proven track record and change management in E2E Planning
- Excellent verbal and written communication, troubleshooting, and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong financial acumen to drive transformation on inventory and P&L outcomes.
- Team-oriented leadership skills with a strong customer service attitude.
- Ability to build consensus and collaborative relationships; to lead teams through influence rather than authority.
- Proficiency in English; Dutch is advantageous.
- Familiarity with OMP, SAP S4 HANA, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel preferred.
