The HEMA Lead Benelux leads Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA) strategy and execution across Benelux, ensuring optimal access, funding, and adoption of innovative orthopaedic solutions. The role drives value‑based access strategies aligned with Benelux healthcare systems and EMEA priorities.
About Your Tasks and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute HEMA strategy for Benelux aligned with DePuy Synthes and EMEA priorities.
- Develop and deliver market access and funding strategies to enable adoption and sustainable growth.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with payers, HTA bodies, institutional decision-makers and relevant authorities to shape the external environment and advance value-based adoption.
- Lead EMEA-aligned evidence generation and value creation activities and translate insights into local value messages, tools and materials.
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Medical/Clinical and Regulatory teams to develop and execute market access and reimbursement strategies across the product lifecycle.
- Manage heterogeneous access and reimbursement and funding environments across Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg, including hospital-based and payer-driven pathways.
- Ensure effective deployment of health economic tools, value assets and training to enable internal stakeholders and strengthen field activation.
- Monitor execution against HEMA priorities and business objectives, ensuring alignment to agreed plans, milestones and governance expectations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality, ethics and local regulatory requirements, consistent with EMEA HEMA standards.
- This role may take on direct responsibility for a priority and strategic business at EMEA regional level, defined according to EMEA needs, ensuring HEMA strategy and execution align with business priorities and performance objectives.
Scope & Impact
Full strategic responsibility for HEMA outcomes in Benelux with high autonomy and direct impact on access success, innovation adoption, and revenue sustainability. This role may also holds direct responsibility for a priority and strategic business at EMEA regional level (defined according to EMEA needs), ensuring HEMA strategy and execution align with business priorities, performance objectives, and value delivery expectations.
About Your Skills and Experience
Qualifications
Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in Health Economics, Public Health, Life Sciences or related field.
7+ years of experience in Market Access or HEMA roles, preferably within MedTech or Pharmaceuticals.
Fluent in English; local language skills preferred depending on geography.
