Maintenance Engineer

We are looking for a proactive, and hands-on Maintenance Engineer who can take full ownership, working under the overall guidance and supervision of the Head of Engineering and Technical Support.

• Coordinate and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including spare part management and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform root-cause analysis.
• Monitor equipment performance and ensure timely corrective maintenance to optimize operational performance and minimize downtime.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and change control processes.
• Plan, scope, and execute engineering projects (equipment installations, upgrades, facility improvements).
• Prepare project documentation including technical specifications, drawings, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, vendors, and external service providers.
• Ensure project milestones are met on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Conduct commissioning, testing, and handover of completed projects. Train production and maintenance teams to improve equipment knowledge and ownership.
• Develop engineering solutions for maintenance, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Our ideal candidate has:

• bachelor’s or master’s degree in maintenance, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related, or comparable level through experience (preferably in a related field as medical devices, pharmacy);
• Strong decisions making skills within assigned authority, can escalate when needed.
• Pro-active, highly motivated, eager to implement improvements, with structured way of working.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written) Dutch language is a plus
• Knowledge of and/or experience with ISO quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001/ISO 13485) is a plus.
