What does the job look like?

As a PK Data Analyst, you will be part of the Pharmacokinetics team and involved in the execution of interim and final non-compartmental analyses (NCA) of drug concentration data. You are responsible for independently executing the analysis and reporting of PK clinical trial data collected at CHDR. Your tasks consist of:

  • Developing and validating scripts required for the preprocessing, analyses, and reporting of PK data.
  • Interpreting results, making it essential that you have knowledge of PK.
  • Communicating about the contents and progress of your projects with various stakeholders (e.g., clients, project leaders, and statisticians).
  • Collaborating with the statistical & clinical programmers and vendors on output delivery.

What CHDR offers you

You will join a dynamic, passionate organization and work within a diverse team in a fast-paced, innovative setting. We offer you a one-year contract for a minimum of 32 hours per week, with the prospect of a permanent position. The corresponding terms of employment below are based on a 40-hour workweek.

  • A salary between €3.855 - €5.561 gross per month;
  • A pension accrual with the ABP pension fund, with CHDR covering 70% of the pension contribution;
  • 25 vacation days per year plus one Diversity Day;
  • Holiday allowance and an end-of-the-year bonus ranging between 3.8% and 12%. Depending on company results;
  • CHDR offers development opportunities with an annual budget for training;
  • Our office is in a prime location: right next to Leiden Central Station, making it perfectly accessible by public transport. Your travel costs will be reimbursed up to 100%, or you can choose to purchase an (electric) bicycle at a reduced rate;?
  • The possibility to work hybrid, partially at the office and from home.

Additionally, CHDR tries to stimulate a social working environment by organizing drinks, a Christmas dinner, a BBQ evening and company events such as a survival weekend in the Ardennes.

What you bring to CHDR?

We are looking for a Data Analyst with a solid understanding of PK. Programming and coding experience is required, with R being the primary language, and knowledge of SAS beneficial. Additionally, familiarity with Python and WinNonLin is a plus.

In this role, your ability to handle complex data and work collaboratively with others will be key to the successful completion of PK analyses. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills are required for success, just like the ability to work on multiple projects at a time by managing deadlines while keeping track of priorities.

The position requires a master’s degree in a bio-pharmaceutical sciences field. Applicants from related fields such as bioinformatics, biomedical engineering or life sciences are also encouraged to apply, especially if they have a strong interest in early-phase drug discovery.

Het Centre for Human Drug Research (CHDR) is een stichting die is gevestigd in het Leiden Bio Science Park. Sinds de oprichting in 1987 is het CHDR uitgegroeid tot een innovatief instituut op het gebied van klinische geneesmiddelontwikkeling. We doen hier jaarlijks tientallen onderzoeken bij gezonde proefpersonen en patiënten. We werken nauw samen met universitaire medische centra, grote ziekenhuizen en met wetenschappers over de hele wereld. Dit doen we met in totaal zo’n 300 vaste collega's. Ook werken er meer dan 100 studenten om ons te helpen en werkervaring op te doen.
