We are seeking a research associate with experience in protein production and purification. You will support our research efforts focused on developing novel gene editing therapies for immune-oncology (CAR-T / TCR) and hematology. As a member of our team, it will be your role to implement procedures to have a sound and solid protein production within NTrans.

About Your Tasks and Responsibilities
Your tasks and responsibilities
· Set up protein overexpression systems in bacteria and/or non-mammalian cells.
· Downstream processing (DSP) ofCRISPR proteins, incl FPLC.
· Preparing Standard Operating Procedures for DSP and QC.
· Conduct molecular biology research, including cloning, (q)PCR, sequencing (NGS), RNA and DNA analysis and other plate-based assays.
· Conduct basic biochemistry assays, such as protein extraction and gel electrophoresis.
· Perform routine laboratory tasks, including cell culture, cell-based assays, preparing stock solutions, and equipment maintenance.
· Maintaining organized lab spaces and overseeing inventory of cellular products and laboratory supplies, including assisting with shipping and receiving.
· Work in compliance with all appropriate laboratory, regulatory and safety requirements.
· Assist senior staff as required.
· Document and share research results meticulously with our team.
About Your Skills and Experience
Who you are
· HLO / Bachelor of Applied Science / Msc in Life Sciences, Biochemistry or related.
· Note: we will not consider PhD-candidates for this role.
· Able to work both independently and with a collaborative and diverse team.
· Experience with cell culturing techniques.
· Experience with protein purification preferred.
· Accurate in following standard operating procedures.
· Proficient verbal and written English skills.
· Proficient planning and communication skills.
· You currently reside in the Netherlands incl work permit.
