Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced C&Q engineer. This position is responsible for ensuring that the facilities and utilities (F&U) activities are operated in a compliant way. Together with the rest of the team we must ensure that the premises are brought and maintained upon the required quality level.
The ideal candidate must possess an exquisite quality mindset combined with strong analytical capabilities and the means to understand and grasp technical matters. The role must be taken up by someone reliable and trustworthy whose actions must be just and ethical. Along with communication skills an absolute prerequisite is being stress-resilient.
About Your Tasks and Responsibilities
Your responsibilities:
- Facilities Asset Maintenance
- Ensure compliant Facilities & Utilities (F&U) per cGMP and quality procedures.
- Develop action plans to improve compliance performance.
- Coordinate change management (Change Control).
- Monitor system qualification and manage Validation Master Plans (VMPs).
- Document and archive technical and GxP-critical files.
- Manage and track deviations.
- Draft, monitor, and adjust Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Own compliance aspects across CAR-T footprint.
- Work Management & Optimization
- Apply continuous improvement (Kaizen) and compliance mindset.
- Maintain strong collaboration with E&PS FM team and QA departments.
- Facilities Compliance & Safety
- Ensure activities comply with QMS and legal requirements.
- Maintain audit readiness for CAR-T installations and buildings.
- Represent E&PS FM during audits and inspections.
- Perform Periodic System Quality Reviews (PSQR).
- Ensure closure of QMS documents (audit actions, NCs, CAPAs, CCs).
- Implement EHS requirements and promote proactive safety culture.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Fit into a strong, collaborative team; on-site presence required.
- Maintain close communication with colleagues and peers.
- System & Data Management
- Use CMMS and compliance platforms (Comet, ICR, Truvault).
- Ensure high-quality data maintenance.
- Review and approve qualification plans, protocols, and reports.
- Key Relationships
- Build strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely to deliver root cause analyses and review countermeasures.
About Your Skills and Experience
Requirements
- Master’s degree in engineering, life sciences, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of C&Q knowledge; strong technical understanding from a C&Q perspective
- Experienced in GxP and quality management
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; fluent in Dutch and English (other languages a plus)
- Ability to meet tight timelines, handle stress, and manage peak workloads during shutdowns
- Proactive “can-do” attitude; empathetic, ethical, and strong team player with relationship-building skills
