About the role
Do you have a background in chemistry, environmental science, or law, and a passion for navigating regulatory frameworks and ensuring product safety? Do you want to gain valuable, hands-on experience supporting a global manufacturing leader? Then join us now! As our Product Stewardship / Compliance Intern, you will provide critical support for customer requests and projects related to Regulatory and Compliance, working under the guidance of our experienced European Product Compliance team. You will directly contribute to enhancing IMDS data integrity, analyzing chemical regulations, and supporting key compliance initiatives for our Label and Packaging Materials (LPM) division—including premium categories like Food Contact and Pharma. This internship is scheduled to start on 17th of August for a duration of 6 months. The role requires a minimum commitment of 3 days per week on-site at our European Headquarters in Oegstgeest, with the flexibility to work from home 2 days per week. About Your Tasks and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
This is a hybrid position based out of our European Headquarters in Oegstgeest. The key responsibilities include:
- Provide daily compliance support, efficiently addressing a high volume of customer questions and inquiries.
- Analyze, interpret and research chemical and material regulations (such as EU/UK regulations) to ensure overall product compliance.
- Contribute to enhancing the data integrity of the International Material Data System (IMDS) for automotive applications by identifying and implementing opportunities for workflow optimization.
- Partner with the Product Compliance team to explore and propose innovative process improvements, including researching how artificial intelligence (AI) tools can optimize department workflows
