About Your Next Colleagues

Founded in 2019 as a spin-off from the Zernike Institute for Advanced Materials (University of Groningen), QDI Systems is pioneering Quantum Dot (QD) technology for next-generation imaging. Our main focus is on advanced short-wavelength infrared (SWIR) technologies, enabling new capabilities in consumer electronics, imaging, and sensing. In addition, we are recognized as global leaders in X-ray Quantum Dot detector technology for mammography. At QDI, we collaborate closely with leading image-sensing companies to bring our advanced nanomaterials from research to real-world applications. Our team combines scientific excellence with a practical, hands-on mindset, continuously pushing the boundaries of innovation.


About Your Tasks and Responsibilities

Depending on your expertise, your work may include:

- Developing and optimizing materials, processes, or devices for QD-based imaging technologies

- Translating laboratory-scale innovations into robust, scalable manufacturing processes

- Designing and executing experiments to improve performance, reliability, and yield

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (R&D, process engineering, and partners)

- Analyzing data and contributing to technical documentation and reporting

- Driving innovation with a strong focus on practical implementation
